Jen Mellor is an Award-winning artist and her paintings are owned by many private collectors in Australia and internationally.
Having grown up on a farm, nature has always been a huge influence in her works. Jen paints from her studio in Perth and also as a Plein-air artist. To be immersed in a painting in the country or along the coast with an easel, canvas, and paintbrush in hand, is a surreal experience that Jen cherishes every day.
Jen loves to use a strong but subtle tonal colour palette, to give her paintings dynamic and expressive character.
She is inspired to create paintings of timeless quality by using the passage of light, in conjunction with colour, to capture something unique for the viewer. Jen's aim is for the viewer to look deeper into each painting, seeing and interpreting something different every time.
